Town and Country Planning Act 1999
Town and Country (Development Procedure) Order 2005
Penketh - Millar 1 Dale Street Ramsey Isle Of Man IM8 1BJ
In pursuance of powers granted under the above Act and Order the PLANNING COMMITTEE of the Department of Local Government and the Environment does hereby REFUSE the following application made on behalf of:
Name: Mr M Coole Proposal: Approval in principle for the erection of a farmworkers cottage at: Part Of Field 425058 Corlea Road Ronague Castletown Isle Of Man
which was considered on 8 March 2007, for the reasons set out below.
Date of Issue: 20th March, 2007
Murray House Mount Havelock Douglas (Signature)
Secretary Planning Committee (Signature)
Reasons For Refusal:
- The siting of the proposed farm-worker’s dwelling would not comply with the Department’s policies in relation thereto as set out in paragraph 3 of Planning Circular 3/88; the proposed building would, as a consequence, make an undesirable and unwarranted visual impact within the countryside, and would, in the fullness of time, be more easily severed from the parent farm.
Note: A copy of Planning Circular 3/88 is appended hereto.
This decision was made by the Planning Committee constituted in accordance with Article 3(1) of the Town and Country Planning (Development Procedure) Order 2005.
The decision contained in this notice does not become final until either;
