In pursuance of powers granted under the above Act and Order the does hereby REFUSE the following application made on behalf of:
Name: Mr J Scaife Proposal: Installation of clear leaded windows to replace missing and damaged stained glass windows and introduction of porch windows and porch roof lights (in association with 06/01359/CON) at: Ballure Church Walpole Drive Ramsey Isle Of Man IM8 1NA
which was considered on 26 October 2006, for the reasons set out below.

Reasons For Refusal:
- The replacement of the original stained glass windows with two clear glass windows, by reason of their design is considered to be inappropriate given the Registered Status of the property, which results in an unacceptable alteration, to the detriment of the appearance of the property. As such, the proposal is contrary to Policy RB/5 of Planning Policy Statement 1/01 and paragraph 5 of Planning Circular 1/98.
This decision was made by the Planning Committee constituted in accordance with Article 3(1) of the Town and Country Planning (Development Procedure) Order 2005.
The decision contained in this notice does not become final until either;
- The time for requesting an appeal has expired; or
- Any appeal has been determined;
Whichever is the later.
Any appeal against this decision must be in writing and must be received by this Department within 21 days of the date of this notice.
