In pursuance of powers granted under the above Act, Order and Regulations the Department of Local Government and the Environment does hereby REFUSE the following application made on behalf of:
Name: Mr & Mrs Myers Proposal: Registered Building Consent for the installation of replacement roof lights on front elevation (In association with 06/01407 GB) at: Harbour House 7 The Quay Castletown Isle of Man IM9 1LD
which was considered on 8 February 2007, for the reasons set out below.

Reasons For Refusal:
- It is considered that there is not sufficient justification for the enlargement of the roof lights and that the appearance of three large roof lights as viewed from the quayside would be out of scale with the character and status of the registered building and the Conservation Area in which the property is situated.
This decision notice is issued in accordance with Regulation 9(1) of the Registered Building Regulations 2005.
The decision contained in this notice does not become final until either;
- The time for requesting an appeal has expired; or
- Any appeal has been determined;
Whichever is the later.
Any appeal against this decision must be in writing and must be received by this Department within 21 days of the date of this notice.

If this determination is running concurrently with a planning application the content of the registered building application is excluded from that consideration. If need be an appeal against the determination of registered building consent must be made independently.
