The Site
The site represents the domestic curtilage of an existing dwelling situated on the south eastern side of Kissack Road to the south of Farrant's Way and accommodates an existing semi-detached house with attached garage.
Planning Status
The site lies within an area designated on the Castletown Local Plan as Predominantly Residential. On the emerging draft Castletown Area Plan the area is confirmed as Residential.
Planning History
PA 91/01140 proposed a new front porch and was permitted.
The Proposal
Proposed here is the replacement of an existing side door with a window. The window will match the others already in the property. Also referred to is the replacement of the existing windows but this does not require planning permission as the property is relatively recently built (1960/70s).
Assessment
The proposed change has no adverse impact on the appearance of the property or its impact on neighbouring property.
Party Status
Department of Transport Highways and Traffic Division and Fire Prevention Officer are statutory authorities and as such should be afforded party status in this instance.
