Department Of Local Government And The Environment ### Memorandum To: Director of Planning and Building Control From: Fiona Mullen, Senior Planning Officer Ref: PA 06/01081 - Minor revisions to approved layout of roads, footpaths and plots and minor alterations to approved dwelling details (04/00965B and 05/02110B) Fields 531760 And Part Of 531761 Land At Corner Of Ballanard Road And Johnny Watterson Lane, Johnny Watterson Lane, Douglas Date: 4th April 2007 The above application was approved by the Council of Ministers on 17th January 2007. Condition number 3 of that approval stated that no development may commence until such time as the Planning Authority has approved a landscaping scheme for the area of, and around the storm cell and the boundary with Ballanard Road, which was to include the reinstatement and permanent retention of the sod bank. Such details have now been submitted for consideration and indicate the retention of the existing sod bank which they advise will be strengthened with native planting such as Hawthorn, Fuchsia, Holly and Blackthorn. Screen planting is indicated to the south of the site with an existing Hawthorn hedge to remain and screen planting with native trees introduced. The proposal is considered to be acceptable and it is recommended that the scheme be approved in accordance with Condition 3. Fiona Mullen Senior Planning Officer
