THE APPLICATION SITE AND PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT
The application site comprises of the residential curtilage of a semi-detached dwelling located within an existing residential area of Ramsey.
The proposed development comprises of the erection of a detached timber garage and a summer house within the application site.
PLANNING HISTORY
There are previous planning applications that I consider to be of relevance to the assessment of this current planning application.
Representations
Ramsey Town Commissioners have no objection to the planning application.
The Department of Transport Highways Division considers there to be adverse traffic impacts.
Planning Policy
The application site is covered by the Ramsey Local Plan. Under this plan the application site is within an area designated as being predominantly residential.
There are no policies within the Ramsey Local Plan that I consider to be of specific relevance to the assessment of this current planning application.
Assessment
Whilst I would suggest that the quality of the planning application submission is quite limited I am content, given the domestic nature of the proposal, that the submission is sufficient to assess the proposal.
I consider the scale of proposed development to be essentially domestic. I am satisfied that the impact of the development on the surrounding area to be suitably limited.
I recommend that the planning application be approved.
Party Status
I consider that the following meet the criteria of Government Circular 1/06 and should be afforded interested party status: Ramsey Town Commissioners; and The Department of Transport Highways Division.

This approval relates to the location plan, summerhouse specification and garage specification date stamped the 19th December 2005 and the site plan date stamped the 10th January 2006.
