Refusal Notice 05/01905/B
Town and Country Planning Acts, 1934 - 1991
Isle of Man Planning Scheme (Development Plan) Order 1982
Richard Green Associates 87 Circular Road Douglas IM1 1AX
In pursuance of powers granted under the above Acts and Order the Department of Local Government and the Environment does hereby REFUSE the following application made on behalf of:
Name: Clucas PLC Proposal: Erection of an industrial unit (Amendment to approved 02/02108B) to be used for restricted retail use at: Unit 17 Tromode Industrial Estate Tromode Douglas Isle Of Man IM4 4QB
which was considered on 6 January 2006, for the reasons set out below.
Date of Issue: 16 January, 2006 Murray House Mount Havelock Douglas Secretary Planning Committee (Signature)
Reasons For Refusal:
- Tromode Estate is in a designated industrial area, for a retail unit to be acceptable the application must provide adequate information to justify that the goods proposed to be sold in the industrial area cannot reasonably be sold from town centre locations. This application does not provide exact details of goods to be sold at the proposed unit and therefore until an application can provide the exact details of what type of goods would be sold, the proposal is unacceptable.
- This decision was made by the Planning Committee constituted in accordance with Paragraph 2 of Schedule 1 of the Isle of Man Planning Scheme (Development Plan) Order 1982.
Note 1: The decision contained in this notice does not become final until:-
