In pursuance of powers granted under the above Acts and Order the Department of Local Government and the Environment does hereby APPROVE the following application made on behalf of:
Name: Arragon Properties Ltd Proposal: Conversion of existing restaurant to an apartment and erection of an attached block of six apartments with seven parking spaces and communal bin store at: Former Chablis Cellar (now Saffron) 19 & 21 Bank Street Castletown Isle Of Man IM9 1AT
which was considered on 20 January 2006, subject to compliance with the conditions specified below.

Schedule Of Conditions:
- The development hereby permitted shall commence before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice.
- This permission relates to the alterations and extensions shown in drawings SC792/P/100/R/A received on 1st December, 2005, the location plan and plans reference SC792/P/10-02 and -03, SC792/P/101/R and -102R all received on 14th September, 2005.
- The external finishes of the extension must match those of the existing building in all respects.
- All windows must be timber-framed sliding sashes to match those in the existing building. Such windows may not be replaced or altered without planning permission.
NOTE The applicant is encouraged to reconsider the northern end of the development, such that two way traffic may be able to pass within the site without encroaching onto property outside the defined site.
NOTE PRIOR to the commencement of any works the applicant is advised to consult the Chief Fire Officer to ensure that adequate fire precautions are taken.
NOTE The applicant/developer is recommended to consult with the Housing Inspectorate with regard to compliance with the Housing (Flats) Regulations.
NOTE For connections to Flats and Apartments the following apply - "Water Supply to Flats and Apartments - Regulations", and if applicable a "Form Of Undertaking In Respect Of Supply Pipes" will be required. Copies of these documents can be obtained from the IoMWA or alternatively by contacting the IoMWA Byelaws Inspector (Les Quayle on telephone 695957).
This decision was made by the Planning Committee constituted in accordance with Paragraph 2 of Schedule 1 of the Isle of Man Planning Scheme (Development Plan) Order 1982.
Note 1: This permission refers only to that required under the Town and Country Planning Acts and does not include any consent or approval under any other enactment, bylaw, order or regulation.
Note 2: No works may be commenced until such time as -
- the time for requesting a review of the initial decision has expired; or
- any review of the initial decision has been completed; or
- the time for requesting an appeal in relation to the decision has expired; or
- any appeal has been completed.
