Officer's Report
The site represents the domestic curtilage of an existing property located on the eastern side of the Glen Rushen Road within an area designated as Predominantly Residential on the 1982 Plan.
The property was previously the subject of applications for minor alterations and a porch (05/01317) and creation of an access (88/01501).
Proposed here is the extension of the property on the southern side. The existing property is strangely unbalanced - the proposed extension will make it more symmetrical although the central chimney will give a hint to the building's previous appearance.
There are no objections to this proposal other than from the Fire Officer who is unhappy about the internal layout. DoT have requested a deferral to resolve drainage - now happy subject to conditions.
