In pursuance of powers granted under the above Acts and Order the Department of Local Government and the Environment does hereby APPROVE the following application made on behalf of:

which was considered on 21 January 2005, subject to compliance with the conditions specified below.

Schedule Of Conditions:
- This decision grants approval in principle for the renovation and conversion of the buildings identified on the plans to tourist accommodation.
- This approval relates to the drawings and structural report submitted on 26th October 2004.
- This approval is in principle only and will remain valid for a period of two years within which time no development may take place until such time as details of the reserved matters (siting, design, external appearance, internal layout, means of
access, landscaping) have been approved by the Planning Authority. Such reserved matters should form the subject of a single application.
- The Reserved Matters application must include a Method Statement which demonstrates how the existing structures are to be supported before and during construction works.
- The roof(s) must be finished in dark natural slate.
- The stonework must be re-pointed in lime mortar.
- The Reserved Matters application must include details of the external finishes of the barns.
- All windows and doors must be timber framed.
- The roof lights must be heritage/conservation style.
- The Reserved Matters application must clearly show the proposed parking arrangements for each unit as well as the existing dwelling.
NOTE For water connections that comprise more than a single connection to a water main or service, or where new water mains and hydrants will be required, the applicant should contact the Isle of Man Water Authority Planning and Projects Section, telephone 695958.
NOTE For a change in the water supply to a premises (domestic or commercial) the applicant should contact the Isle of Man Water Authority Byelaws Inspector (Les Quayle), telephone 695957.
NOTE It has been brought to the Planning Committee's attention that the access road off the A27 is in different ownership to that of the applicant.
This decision was made by the Planning Committee constituted in accordance with Paragraph 2 of Schedule 1 of the Isle of Man Planning Scheme (Development Plan) Order 1982.
Note 1: This permission refers only to that required under the Town and Country Planning Acts and does not include any consent or approval under any other enactment, bylaw, order or regulation.
Note 2: No works may be commenced until such time as -
- the time for requesting a review of the initial decision has expired; or
- any review of the initial decision has been completed; or
- the time for requesting an appeal in relation to the decision has expired; or
- any appeal has been completed.
