The application relates to a detached bungalow on Mount Rule Road, Braddan.

This is a retrospective application to remove the only chimney on the roof of the property.

The house is located on the edge of an estate of similar but varied designs of bungalow most of which have chimneys / and or flues of various types and shapes. The house is largely screened from the main road and removal of the chimney will not be readily noticeable given its location. The house is relatively modern in design and whilst the chimney may have added a detail of interest to the

roofline, the removal does not have a major impact on the overall appearance and design of the house or on the amenity of the area on general.
