In pursuance of powers granted under the above Acts and Order the Department of Local Government and the Environment does hereby APPROVE the following application made on behalf of:
Name: Mr Keith C Fargher Proposal: Conversion of an existing two storey barn into a dwelling including demolition of a lean to beam and pole barn and an extension to the barn to one side including raising of ground level at vehicular entrance off A3 at:

which was considered on 1 July 2005, subject to compliance with the conditions specified below.

Schedule Of Conditions:
- The development hereby permitted shall commence before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice.
- This approval relates to drawing numbers 5095-11 Revision D, 5095-12, 5095-13 Rev B and 5095-14 Rev B.
- The living accommodation hereby permitted shall not be occupied at any time other than for purposes ancillary to the residential use of the dwelling known as Ballig Farm.
- The windows and doors shall be timber framed.
- The roof(s) must be finished in dark natural slate.
- Prior to the commencement of works, details of how the entrance platform is to be raised must be submitted to and approved by the Planning Committee. Such works as approved must be carried out prior to the occupation of the accommodation hereby approved.
- The exterior stonework must be of a traditional nature.
NOTE: Split stone on a backing render is not acceptable as an external finish.
- All existing stonework must be retained as such and must not be rendered, painted or similarly treated.
NOTE PRIOR to the commencement of any works the applicant is advised to consult the Chief Fire Officer to ensure that adequate fire precautions are taken.
NOTE For single connections to a water main (i.e. a single dwelling) the applicant should contact Isle of Man Water Authority Customer Services, telephone 695949.
NOTE For a change in the water supply to a premises (domestic or commercial) the applicant should contact the Isle of Man Water Authority Byelaws Inspector (Les Quayle), telephone 695957.
This decision was made by the Planning Committee constituted in accordance with Paragraph 2 of Schedule 1 of the Isle of Man Planning Scheme (Development Plan) Order 1982.
Note 1: This permission refers only to that required under the Town and Country Planning Acts and does not include any consent or approval under any other enactment, bylaw, order or regulation.
Note 2: No works may be commenced until such time as -
- the time for requesting a review of the initial decision has expired; or
- any review of the initial decision has been completed; or
- the time for requesting an appeal in relation to the decision has expired; or
- any appeal has been completed.
