Officer's Report
The site represents the curtilage of an existing dwelling located on the western side of School Lane, leading from Douglas Street. The site falls within an area designated as Predominantly Residential on the Castletown Plan adopted by Tynwald in 1991.
Proposed here is the installation of a satellite dish on the elevation facing away from the lane. As such it will not be seen from the public space. The property falls within the Castletown Conservation Area which is the reason the proposal needs planning permission.
The character and appearance of the CA will not be affected by this proposal.
