Officer's Report
The site relates to Nab Farm, Mount Rule, which is sited on the northern side of the Top Road, Crosby.
Permission was granted at Appeal under PA 00/1224 to convert an existing barn to additional living accommodation (Part A). Part B for the erection of an indoor equestrian centre was refused.
This application seeks to extend the conversion scheme and include a stabling area which was shown on the previous application to be 4 loose boxes.
Whilst the conversion scheme appears to be sympathetic the applicant has not demonstrated why the stabling is no longer required. I have discussed this with the architect Guy Thompson who has stated
that the stables have not been used for some years because of their size and layout and the horses are stabled elsewhere on the site. There is no requirement for new buildings.
As such, the scheme as enlarged is considered acceptable.
