The proposal would represent the creation of a new dwelling in the countryside, albeit temporary, which would be contrary to the general policies against such development outside of the area designated for development.
Furthermore, as the proposal is for the demolition rather than conversion of the existing building, this is not in compliance with the Department's policies or the re-use of redundant rural buildings as set out in Planning Circular 3119.
The Planning Committee is not satisfied that the proposal is necessary to effect the renovation of the house and outbuilding approved in principle under PA 02/2135.
