Officer’s Report
The site represents the curtilage of a recently approved building within Tromode Industrial Estate. The building was approved as a furniture retail unit applied for on behalf of Cubbin and Bregazzi who are to relocate from Tynwald Mills. The original scheme showed Cubbin and Bregazzi in the majority of the building and with Unit A approved for industrial use with no approval for any retail activity.
Now proposed is the subdivision of this unit into two of equal size with access from the front and rear: changes to the outside involve the relocation of doors and windows and have no adverse impact. The use for this unit is light industrial in accordance with the original approval.
I see little difference between this and the originally approved scheme other than the space is now to be used to two activities. Other units within this estate have smaller units used by individual operators with no detriment to the overall operation of the estate.

C 2. This approval relates to the division of the approved industrial building into two units together with the alterations to the building all as shown in drawings reference 55/0/1, 55/26/17 and 55/26/18 all received on 1st November, 2004.
