Please see the following information regarding our updated planning application. There are two key reasons as to why we are seeking planning approval on this updated plan:
Since gaining full planning permission (ref 16/01150/B) for the conversion of the existing barn at Ellenbrook Farm, we have found out the exciting (yet initially shocking!) news that we are now expecting twins. As we already have a 3-year-old daughter, it was clear that the current plans would no longer accommodate our growing family, and as such we needed to create extra room on the existing plans. Luckily, we are in the position at the moment where building has not progressed too far and we could make the attached changes should they be approved without having to undo any completed building work.
The main change is to create more space in the existing old barn area, and then add two bedrooms as an extension on the north road-side of the building. Having considered a number of options, we decided this was the best location as the extension would not be seen either by passing traffic or by people on the train. This location also works internally, being able to utilise the existing main corridor to reach all rooms. Providing slightly extra space for the rooms within the old barn section also provide us with confidence that we will be able to fit in the furniture required for a family of five.
We appreciate you taking the time to consider our new planning application and accompanying rationale; the twins are due mid-August so any feedback/decision in the near future would be gratefully received.
Best regards Glenn \& Kirsty Jamieson
