Officer’s Report
The site represents the curtilage of two properties - number 37 Clagh vane an the mini market grocery store adjoining to the east. The site is within the residential estate of Clagh Vane and designated as Residential on the 1982 Plan.
Proposed here is retrospective approval for the change of use of the first floor living accommodation to storage in association with the shop below. The description of the development has been amended to include the retrospective change of use from house to shop. This will effectively lose a unit of living accommodation and provide two units whose use is entirely retail. However if the local shop is providing such a level of service that it warrants expansion, this should be supported.
