In pursuance of powers granted under the above Acts and Order the Department of Local Government and the Environment does hereby REFUSE the following application made on behalf of:

which was considered on 2 December 2004, for the reasons set out below.

Reasons For Refusal:
- In the absence of any information about the extractor flue that would be necessary if the premises were to open as a laundrette, it is judged that the proposed development would:
a. have an adverse impact on the residential amenities currently enjoyed by neighbouring properties; and b. detract from the character and appearance of the Conservation Area.
- This decision was made by the Planning Committee constituted in accordance with Paragraph 2 of Schedule 1 of the Isle of Man Planning Scheme (Development Plan) Order 1982.
