17 November 2004 · Committee
Field 310653, Staarvey Road, Peel, Isle Of Man, IM5 2aj
Permission was granted for the erection of an agricultural shed and the creation of a new access road onto Starvey Road at Field 310653, Staarvey Road, Peel, Isle of Man. The application was decided by the Planning Committee in November 2004. The officer recommended approval and the Committee agreed. The shed would be set back from Starvey Road, meaning the building itself would be largely hidden from that road, though the new access splay would be visible from the highway. The building would also be visible from the road connecting Cronk Y Voddy with the Coast Road, with proposed planting noted as a way to soften that impact. No adverse traffic impacts were identified in connection with the proposed access arrangements.
The Planning Committee permitted the application. The officer also recommended approval. The building was found to have no adverse traffic impacts, and its set-back position from Starvey Road meant it would be largely hidden from that road, limiting its visual impact. The formal decision record lists 9 conditions.
