Officer's Report
The site comprises the combined curtilages of 7 and 8 Palace Road, a pair of attached guest houses overlooking the former Lido site.
Proposed, in a full application, is conversion into seven flats.
There is a valid Application in Principle for conversion to six flats.
The principal issue is parking: whilst there is the approval under PA04/66, and no objection from the HA (or the LA), we have refused similar applications in respect of sites further back towards the area of "The Drives".
In the light of PA04/66, this ought to be approved. The Lower Ground Floor flat is tight, but the floor area is greater than 30sqm, and the front outlook / environment satisfactory.
