Please find below the Commissioners decisions in relation to the Planning Applications considered at their meeting on 20th July 2004.
PA 04 1193 - Mr D E and Mrs C R Jenner, 36 Ballanawin, Strang, Braddan - Application for Construction of Extension to Side of Dwelling, Garage and Utility Room on Ground Floor plus Additional Bedroom on First Floor
The Commissioners would recommend approval of the above application. PA 04 1191 - Capt J James, Clybane, Braddan - Application for Proposed Roofing of Existing Yard Area - Ballamona, Braddan The Commissioners would recommend approval of the above application. PA 04 1237 - Capt J James - Clybane, Braddan - Application for Approval in Principle to Extension to Existing Gatehouse
The Commissioners whilst they recommend approval of the above application, however the Commissioners would wish the Planning Committee and the applicant to consider demolishing the building with a view to constructing a new building in the Manx vernacular style.
PA 04 1231 - Mrs L Cookson, 7 Cronk Road, Union Mills, Braddan - Application to Remove Window from Rear of Property & Replace with PVC Double Glazed Doors & Retrospective Planning Permission for Wooden Balcony
The Commissioners would recommend approval of the above application.

The Commissioners would recommend approval of the above application.
PA 04 1170/B - Isle of Man Industrial Development Company Limited, Alterations and Extensions to Existing Commercial Unit, Unit 48 Spring Valley Industrial Estate, Braddan - Amended Plan
The Commissioners would recommend approval of the above application.
PA 03 1240/A - Approval in Principle for the Erection of a Dwelling with Garage on the Plot to the Rear
of 11 Ashlar Drive, End of Ashfield Avenue, Union Mills, Braddan - Mr and Mrs A Chambers - Amended Plan The Commissioners would recommend approval of both the amended plans referred to as Plan A and Plan B. PA 04 0792 - Mr and Mrs Ashley, Ballaveare Court, Port Soderick - Alterations and Extension to Create a New Garden Room Area off Kitchen The Commissioners would recommend approval of the above application.
PA 04 1018/B - Mr and Mrs Scott, Rose Lodge, 13 River Walk, Braddan - Conversion of Existing Integral Double Garage to Living Accommodation and Erection of a Replacement Single Detached Garage - Amended Plan
The Commissioners would recommend approval of the above application.
PA 04 1292 - Dandara Commercial Limited - Land Adjacent to Cool Road, (Between Cool Smithy and Ballacottier Cottage, Braddan)
The Commissioners would recommend approval of the above application subject to the inclusion of a condition that the approval should only be for twelve months, and that a 10 metre landscaping belt should be provided between the highway to conform with the existing Policy for the Business Park and Barley Field development.
PA 04 1293 - Department of Social Services, 61 Cronk Grianagh - Construction of a Side Extension to Provide Ground Floor Bathroom and Bedroom for a Disabled Child
The Commissioners would recommend approval of the above application.
PA 04 1341 - Douglas Corporation - Application for Erection of Borough of Douglas Operation Support Centre - Vacant Development Plot, The Barley Field, Off Cool Road, Braddan
The Commissioners would recommend approval of the above application.
PA 04 1349 - Mr and Mrs Cowin, Cronk Rhenny Villa, Quines Hill, Port Soderick - Application for a Two Storey Extension to Side of Property Based on Previous Application (Recently Elapsed) and Change of Use of Agricultural Land to Expand Rear Garden
The Commissioners would recommend approval of the above application. subject to the inclusion of a condition stating that by the granting of the change of use, no inference was provided in relation to any proposed development on the land, in that it would be very unlikely that any planning approval would be granted for a separate dwelling to be erected to the rear of the property.
PA 04 1336 - Highways Division, Sea Terminal Buildings - Application to Construct a Mini Roundabout at the Junction Between Peel Road and Braddan School Road, Centering on the Jubilee Oak
