W. E. Review 1. The development of the site for two building plots as proposed would constitute undesirable backland development in that it would: a. Due to its elevated position, overlook and dominate both the properties to the south of the site, adjacent to the highway as well as existing garden areas to the west. existingof the airplanes b. Be served by a narrow and inappropriate access road; the use of which by vehicles would seriously harm the amenities of adjacent properties particularly those on either side of the access. And, c. Harm the appearance of the site in its wider setting of terraced housing on the road frontage with open farm land behind; this would be detrimental to the rural character of St Johns. 5-11-04 R.
