Part Fields, Ballagawne Farm Ballagawne Road Baldrine Lonan
This application sought approval in principle for highway improvements to Ballagawne Road (C26) and residential development on part fields at Ballagawne Farm, Baldrine, in the parish of Lonan. The site comprised two parcels of land on either side of Ballagawne Road, with the south-western parcel extending to the Manx Electric Railway line. The Planning Committee refused the application in December 2005, in line with the officer's recommendation. The central planning concern was that the land was not designated for development under the applicable development plans for the area.
The application was refused by the Planning Committee. The officer also recommended refusal. The key planning reason identified was that the site was not designated for development under the applicable development plans.
