Cricklewood, Main Road, Union Mills, Isle Of Man, IM4 4ne
Permission was granted for a two storey extension to the side of a detached dwelling at Cricklewood, Main Road, Union Mills, Braddan, to provide additional living accommodation. The property sits between Peel Road and Snugborough Avenue, with vehicular access from Peel Road. The officer's report noted that the extension is attractive in style and appearance and complements the existing building, and that its position some distance from the neighbouring property means it should not cause overlooking or adverse impact on neighbours. The application was amended during the process to include a door in the appropriate location, as shown on revised drawings. The decision was made under delegated powers and four conditions were attached to the approval.
The application was permitted by the Director of Planning under delegated powers. The extension was considered attractive in style and appearance, complementing the existing building, and was not expected to cause overlooking or harm to neighbouring properties. No adverse traffic impacts were identified.
