That approval was extended in February 2004 until 2006. This application again seeks approval in principal for the development of the site with 18 apartments and associated parking for 24 vehicles and 14 garages. An indicative plan has been submitted with the application which indicates a modern structure with basement parking. - : Notes attached to refusals
R 1 . It is considered that the proposed building, by reason of its height, design and massing would impact adversely on the streetscene and appear as a discordant and over bearing feature.
- 2 . This decision is without prejudice to the submission of a further application which indicates a building reduced in height, with a vertical as opposed to horizontal emphasis and which reflects the design of adjacent buildings. In addition, the Planning Committee recommended that any future scheme encompass all buildings within the site.
