Reasons For Refusal
Application Ref No: 04/00095/A
- It is considered that the proposed building, by reason of its height, design and massing would impact adversely on the streetscene and appear as a discordant and over bearing feature.
NOTE This decision is without prejudice to the submission of a further application which indicates a building reduced in height, with a vertical as opposed to horizontal emphasis and which reflects the design of adjacent buildings. In addition, the Planning Committee recommended that any future scheme encompass all buildings within the site.
NOTE This decision was made by the Planning Committee constituted in accordance with Paragraph 2 of Schedule 1 of the Isle of Man Planning Scheme (Development Plan) Order 1982.
