Permission was granted for the erection of a sun lounge and porch to the rear elevation of Ballacrebbin Cottage, a two-storey detached dwelling on Jurby Road, Andreas. The officer considered the proposal acceptable on the grounds that it was modest in scale and in keeping with the character of the dwelling. The additions were also judged not to be readily visible in the surrounding countryside, limiting any wider visual impact. The decision was made by the Director of Planning under delegated powers, with three conditions attached to the permission.

Condition 1
The development hereby permitted shall commence before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice.

Condition 3
The external finishes of the extension must match those of the existing building in all respects.
