The proposal involved installing patio doors in place of an existing rear ground floor window at a detached house on the Main Road (A1), accessed off Snugborough Avenue in Union Mills, Braddan. The site is heavily screened by existing vegetation, which limits the visual impact of changes to the rear elevation. The modest nature of the alteration, combined with the screening provided by vegetation, meant the proposal was considered acceptable.

The replacement of a rear window with patio doors was judged to have no material impact on the street scene or highway safety. Permission was granted by delegated decision.
