Amazing Glazing Ltd Unit 16 Hills Meadow Peel Road Douglas In pursuance of powers granted under the above Acts and Order the Department of Local Government and the Environment does hereby REFUSE the application made by you on behalf of:
Miss Canipa Proposal: Installation of uPVC windows to replace existing to front elevation at: $\quad 11$ Kingswood Grove Douglas IM1 3LY which was considered on 13 February 2004, for the reasons set out in the attached schedule.

Reasons For Refusal
Application Ref No: 03/01819/B
- The site is within a Conservation Area, and there are in place the original, attractive windows; whilst there are, in adjacent properties, unsympathetic replacement windows, the Planning Committee judges that the character and appearance of the Area should not be further damaged by the installation of any more inappropriate windows.
NOTE The applicant is advised to consult the Department's Conservation Officer to discuss the availability of grant assistance towards the cost of refurbishment or, if necessary, appropriate replacement.
