Dear Sir, Rushen Parish Commissioners have considered the following Planning Applications:- a) 03/1271. Land between Level House and the Cottage, The Level. R Cregeen. Approval in Principle - erection of dwelling. It is noted that the plan shows a garage and shed - these do not now exist. Approved, with same conditions as previously approved, lapsed, application. b) 03/1340. Ballakilley, Church Road. Mr \& Mrs Jamieson. Conversion of existing redundant farm storage buildings into 3 dwellings and alterations to existing cottage. The Board approves all the conversion buildings, with the exception of the 'Playroom and walkway' to the NE elevation. The design for these is out of keeping with the existing. They would like to see all external walls, including new ones, to be of stonework (no cement rendering) - the buildings would then merge in with the existing and not be too obtrusive in the countryside. As there will have to be some trees cut down to enable the new access road to be constructed there should be more trees planted in the meadow to give concealment to the roadway. The Forestry Division should be consulted with regard to this. Access from the site to Church Road could be a problem and the Department of Transport should be consulted regarding this to ensure that there is adequate visibility when exiting onto the main road. c) 03/1346. 15 Hill Park, Ballakillowey. Mr \& Mrs Kirkham. Erection of storm porch and boundary walling ( 900 mm ). Approved.
d) 03/1371. Field No. 1502, Moorhouse Farm. Mr R H Costain. Increase the level of field in order to improve field drainage. Material form IRIS scheme to be used. Approved.
e) 03/1378. Abandoned mine shaft and mine adit near Ballasherlogue, Ballakilpheric Road. Dept. of Trade and Industry. Erection of fencing and installation of a steel grille to prevent access to open mine entries. Approved.
