Proposal: Installation of replacement uPVC windows to front first floor elevation at: Flat 4 Maisonette Ballure 29 Brunswick Road Douglas IM2 3LG which was considered on 2 October 2003, for the reasons set out in the attached schedule.

Reasons For Refusal
Application Ref No: 03/01032/B
- The site is within a Conservation Area which came into operation on the 1st of September, and the building is of architectural interest and attraction; in these circumstances, the existing windows should be refurbished, if practical, or, if necessary, replaced with wooden-framed windows which match the existing in all respects.
NOTE The applicant is advised to consult the Department's Conservation Officer to discuss the availability of grant assistance towards appropriate works.
