1. This approval relates to the erection of fencing and the shelter as shown in drawing reference ODC/SK/1 and the illustration received on 14.8.03.

Note 1: The approval is hereby granted as the site already has established use as a recreation facility, no permission to required under planning legislation for a change of use from tennis courts to any other recreation activity such as skateboarding or football/ basketball, although planning permission may be granted for permanent structures - see Note 3.
Note 2: The Committee would welcome the introduction of appropriately designed lighting which would provide better supervision of the activities going on on the site. However, no details of such lighting have been submitted so none may hereby be approved. Such lighting, if it is to be the subject of a future application, must be designed, operated and positioned so as not to adversely affect the amenities of adjacent residents.
Note 3: Planning permission may not be required for the recreational equipment such as basketball posts or skateboard ramps, provided that these are not permanent structures and that the installation does not constitute an engineering operation.
Conditions Of Approval
This approval relates to the creation of a skateboard facility as shown in drawing reference ODC/SK/1 received on 14.08.03, the erection of the sheik of as shown in the aforementioned drawing and the illustration received on the same date and the associated fencing and the principle of the construction of lighting and skateboard apparatus as described in the application.
The remainder of the site is annotated as "kickabout / basketball area must be retained as tennis courts as at present.

Prior to the erection of any lighting or skateboard apparatus, such must be the subject of further detailed drawings which must be approved by the Planning Committee.
Any lighting must be designed, located and oriented even as not to adversely affect the amenities of adjacent residents.
Any skateboard apparatus must be constructed of materials such as composite plywood, so as to minimize the noise resulting from the use of the facilities.
