Reasons For Refusal
Application Ref No: 03/00844/B
- Number 50 Patrick Street is within the Peel Conservation Area, whilst the original windows have been lost, the Planning Committee considers that the most appropriate window style for the property would be vertical sliding sash. The proposed casement window is considered to be out of character with the dwelling and would harm the character and appearance of the Conservation Area.
- The proposed door whilst panelled, would detract from the character and appearance of the dwelling by reason of its colour and side panel.
NOTE Grant assistance of up to $50 \%$ is available for replacement windows and doors in an appropriate design. Further advice is available from the Conservation Section.
NOTE This decision was made by the Planning Committee constituted in accordance with Paragraph 2 of Schedule 1 of the Isle of Man Planning Scheme (Development Plan) Order 1982.
