ISLE OF MAN PLANNING SCHEME (DEVELOPMENT PLAN) ORDER 1982

TO: Mr. J. Croft, 88 Bunkers Hill, Lincoln, LN2 4QR; [Copies as per Circulation List] In pursuance of her powers under the above Acts and Order the MINISTER for Local Government and the Environment, following report by the appointed person, does hereby REFUSE the application by you for approval in principle to erection of new dwelling, Sarah's Cottage and Field 1167, Ballasloe, Cornaa, Maughold, for the following reasons:-

The site is not designated for development on the 1982 Development Plan Order, but is within an area designated as being of High Landscape Value and Scenic Significance; the erection of an additional dwelling alongside the road as now proposed would thus be contrary to the Development Plan and would establish a precedent for further similar development elsewhere within the countryside.
