Further to your letter of 19 June 2003, ref 180/2/JRG/RG, and submission of drawings with reference to the above.
My Fire Safety Officer has examined your submitted drawings and advises as follows.
The living accommodation above the shop falls within the scope of the Fire Precautions (Flats) Regulations 1996 and the drawings submitted indicate areas which do not meet the requirements of the regulations.
Would you please contact Assistant Divisional Officer Groom to make an appointment to discuss this matter. A drawing showing all floors including the basement will be required.
The Fire and Rescue Service will object to your planning application due to the non-compliance of the Fire Precautions (Flats) Regulations 1996.
Your drawings have been retained for filing purposes.
