Reasons For Refusal
Application Ref No: 03/00162/PART
The alterations to the rear roof slope as proposed would be detrimental to the form and appearance of the property and detract from the uniformity of the roof slopes of the terrace as a whole as seen from West Quay. The character and appearance of the Conservation Area would be harmed as a result.
The balcony at first floor level would allow overlooking of the garden areas of neighbouring properties to the detriment of their residential amenity.
This decision was made by the Planning Committee constituted in accordance with Paragraph 2 of Schedule 1 of the Isle of Man Planning Scheme (Development Plan) Order 1982.
