Re 2 photos.msg
Dear Sirs,
Please find enclosed an objection to planning application 21/00211/B together with two photos. Please send a return email acknowledging receipt.
Thank you
Arragon House
My wife and I reside at Arragon House part of the Arragon Estate which includes Arragon Lane that is used to access the Estate from the Old Castletown Road.
As the owners of, ‘Arragon Lane’ a private road passing to the East of the application site, and also fields to the South and East, my wife and I object to the application with ‘Interested persons status’.
Since we have to pass this site with the shipping container clearly visible each time we leave or return home, we object to the planning application for the following reasons: -
(who does not live in Arragon Lane) ’ if he could remove some overhanging dead branches in the lane to transport a container to his cottage to temporarily store certain household articles stored in his attic while urgent roofing work was carried out to the cottage’. My Brother obliged, as we always have, believing a ‘container’ was destined to be sited temporarily by his cottage.
The Application for approval is for something quite different. The container was subsequently delivered and sited over half a mile from cottage in the field adjacent to Arragon Lane which is now the application site. My Wife and I were very surprised at the time, but more so, as no work took place at his cottage and the retrospective planning application arrived for a completely different permanent reason.

The shipping Container has been sited within 2 metres of the Eastern boundary of the site adjacent to Arragon Lane in a position that interrupts the view from the road to the wider beautiful landscape of the surrounding open countryside in an incongruous and unacceptable manner. This affects all visitors to, and all residents of, Arragon Lane. Please see attached two photos.
Arragon Lane adjacent to the site is also a popular Public Footpath enjoyed by walkers of all ages and also families. As a keen walker myself I must also adopt interested person status for the many people who use the footpath. They would undoubtedly share my incredulity that a shipping container is purported to be a suitable object to be placed in a position where it destroys the wider panoramic views of the open countryside from this part of the footpath, and under the guise that it is suitable as an agricultural building!
