Dear Mr. Jackson, Re: PA 01/1928 - erection of dwelling and garage, plot 134, Fairways Drive, Mount Murray, Braddan I refer to the above application which is due to be considered by the Planning Committee. I apologise for the delay in processing your application but I have had difficulty in visiting the site. I am now content that the concerns raised by the Braddan Parish Commissioners in respect of loss of trees has been addressed in the application and that permission is acceptable for the erection of a dwelling and garage on the site as defined. I am, however, having trouble reading the plans: the key is at such a small scale that I cannot read the scale at which the drawings have been prepared and the drawings which have dimensions included within them do not measure in accordance with an acknowledged scale which I can ascertain. I would be most grateful if you could take another look at the drawings prepared and ensure that all the drawings are clearly marked to the scale to which they have been prepared and that all drawings which include dimensions are in fact drawn such that the scale and the written dimensions coincide. One final matter, it would be helpful if your proposal could include landscaping particularly the introduction of trees and shrubs between the house and the Castletown Road. The site is supposed to be sited in woodland and whilst there are no trees to speak of within the site it would be within the spirit of the concept of the development if your development, when completed could lend itself to the parkland setting.
