Department Of Local Government And The Environment ### Memorandum TO: Ian McCauley, Director Planning \& Building Control FROM: Ian Brooks, Planning Officer DATE: RE: Extension of time for Planning application 99/02118/B for a residential development on land adjacent Ginger Hall. The planning permission was originally granted in August 2000. This permission was extended in August 2004 for a further 2 year period. This extension in time expires on 10th August 2006. The developer has not been able to commence construction due to a boundary dispute. I understand the boundary dispute has now been resolved. The developer now requests a further extension in time. During a telephone conversation with the developer's, the extension in time is intended to allow the developer to get contractors/sub contractors on to the site and start the development. Due to the circumstances I consider the request to be acceptable since the policy for the site has not changed since the previous extension in time. I therefore recommend that a 1 year extension would be appropriate to allow the developer to start the development.
