Erection of a replacement agricultural worker's dwelling
4 February 2010 · Committee
Swallow Beg, Bayrauyr Road, St. Marks, Ballasalla, Isle Of Man, IM9 3at
This application sought to vary a condition attached to a previously approved agricultural dwelling at Swallow Beg, Gibdale Farm, Ballasalla. The specific condition in question (condition 3 of approval 01/00677/B) restricted the use of the property to agricultural purposes. The applicant sought to remove that restriction so the dwelling could be used as a separate unit of residential accommodation. The application was considered by the Planning Committee, which approved it on 4 February 2010. The officer also recommended approval. The site has a long planning history, with at least seven prior applications recorded.
The Planning Committee approved the application, permitting the variation of a condition attached to an earlier agricultural dwelling consent. This allowed the property to be used as a separate unit of residential accommodation rather than being tied to agricultural use.
