In pursuance of his powers under the above Act and Order, the Minister for Infrastructure, the Hon P A Gawne MHK, does hereby in the name of and on behalf of the Department APPROVE planning application 14/00150/B by Beach View Residential Home Limited for Conversion of a former 21 bedroom residential home into four self-contained apartments, together with a new extension at the rear to provide pedestrian access to the upper floors at Beach View, Douglas Street, Castletown, subject to the following condition:

1. The development hereby approved shall commence before the expiration of four years from the date of this notice.

Reason: To comply with article 14 of the Town and Country Planning (Development Procedure) (No2) Order 2013 and to avoid the accumulation of unimplemented planning approvals.

1. Prior to the occupation of any of the four apartments hereby approved, the four on-site parking spaces shown on Drwg No SM13/301/7 shall be completed and at all times kept available and unobstructed for the parking of vehicles.

Reason: To ensure that provision is made for off-street parking in the interests of highway safety.

1. Each of the four apartments shall be allocated one of the on-site parking spaces shown on Drwg No SM13/301/7.

Reason: To ensure that the occupants of each apartment have an off-street parking space, in the interests of highway safety.

Note: This approval relates to Drawings No. SM13/301/2, SM13/301/3, SM13/301/4, SM13/301/5 and SM13/301/6 all received on 7 February 2014 and SM13/301/7 received on 16 May 2014.
