Site
The site represents the residential curtilage of Stoneleigh, Glen Road, Ballaugh, which is a single storey detached pitched roofed property which is located on the western side of the Glen Road and south of Ballaugh Bridge.
Land Use Zoing / Planning Policies
The application site is within an area recognised as being an area of 'white land' not zoned for development, under the Isle of Man Development Plan Order 1982. The site is not within a Conservation Area, nor within an Area of High Landscape or Coastal Value and Scenic Significance.
Planning History
There are no previous planning applications which are considered relevant in the assessment and determination of this application.
Proposal
The application seeks approval for alterations to an existing doorway to the rear elevation (west).

ASSESSMENT / RECOMMENDATION
The proposal would be a very minor alteration which would have no adverse impacts upon the appearance of the property or upon the residential amenities of nearby properties.
It is considered that the proposal would comply with The Isle of Man Strategic Plan (20th June 2007), for the reasons set out in this report, accordingly, it is recommended that the application be approved.
