21 November 2014 · Delegated
43, Hildesley Road, Douglas, Isle Of Man, IM2 5ax
Permission was granted for the installation of a replacement front door at 43 Hildesley Road, Douglas, a two-storey mid-terraced dwelling on the south-western side of the road. The officer's assessment noted that the street already features a variety of front door designs with no overriding style, and that UPVC is not uncommon in the area. On this basis, the replacement was considered acceptable in terms of its impact on the character of the street. The application was determined under delegated powers and approved on 21 November 2014, subject to one condition.
The Department of Infrastructure approved the replacement front door. The officer noted that Hildesley Road has a mix of front door designs with no single overriding style, meaning the proposed replacement would not appear out of place in the street scene.
