Re: PA06/01730/A - Approval in principle for the erection of 20 detached dwellings and 6 (affordable) semi detached dwellings, Land adjacent to Croit Ny Greiney, Douglas Road, Peel, Isle of Man.
Thank you for your e-mail received on 23rd June 2009 regarding the above application, the contents of which were considered at a meeting held on 9th July 2009.
I can advise that under the authority delegated by the Department to the Senior Planning Officer under Government Circular 09/09 (j), the Senior Planning Officer determined to refuse your request for an extension of the duration of the planning consent granted under PA06/01730/A, due to this application having been determined before the Isle of Man Strategic Plan was adopted in June 2007, as such the policy framework which existed at the time this application was considered and determined has now changed. It is therefore judged that due to this change, it would be inappropriate to extend the above approval.
This decision is without prejudice to the submission of a planning application that seeks planning approval for the development. Accordingly this Approval expired on 10th July 2009. Yours sincerely,
