This application is for a detached garage to serve the dwelling permitted under the previous 17/00156/B planning approval for the site which is currently under construction. The proposed garage would be 4.5m wide, 6.5m long with a 2.8m wide garage door. This is above the minimum dimensions of 3m x 6m with a 2.4m width door for a single garage in the 'Manual for Manx Roads' design guide and is therefore acceptable for a parked car. The proposal would not change the site access, parking provision or on-site turning arrangements previously approved under the 17/00156/B planning consent. The proposed garage would be situated outside the highway visibility area shown on the site plan in the 17/00156/B planning permission and therefore the proposal should not create any new highway issues. Highway Services does not oppose the application.
