17 September 2013 · Delegated
Railway Station, Station Road, Port Erin, Isle Of Man, IM9 6ad
The proposal involved a package of works to Port Erin Railway Station on Station Road. A redundant shop unit was to be demolished, the station toilets refurbished, and the existing roof modified with a new glazed canopy added. The Station Road entrance was to be reconstructed and the former goods yard paved to form a public plaza. The application was decided by delegated authority and permitted in September 2013, subject to four conditions.
The application was approved by delegated decision. The detailed reasoning is not available in the source data, but the works were judged acceptable, likely on the basis that they would improve the station's facilities and public realm without causing unacceptable harm.
