Dear Sam, I am disappointed to learn that you are applying for planning permission to erect a property next door to my house. I have always discussed what I am doing at my house with you and therefore I would have expected as a matter of courtesy and good neighbourly manners that you would have informed me of your plans in respect of this planning application.
As you are aware I have contracted with you not to object to any developments adjacent to my house, where you are applying for permission to build (I think this is probably against Human Rights) although I obviously disapprove of any development on Green Belt land.
I think it is wrong to develop in Green Belt land areas and cannot understand your reasons for this. As I mentioned earlier it would have been nice for you to explain this plan to me. I will be sending a copy of this letter to the Planning Office. Yours sincerely,
