On 14th January 2013, and in pursuance of powers granted under the above Act and Order, the Department of Infrastructure determined to APPROVE planning application 12/01590/B by Mr Stephen Salter for the erection of reception / administration and storage cabin, construction of platforms, installation of rope courses, refurbishment of paths, to create a tree - based activity facility at Part Of South Barrule Plantation Adjacent To A36 Shoulder Road Foxdale Isle Of Man subject to compliance with the following conditions:
NOTE: the applicant is encouraged to install appropriate intruder alarms which are monitored by a company which is accepted by the Isle of Man Constabulary's police response to security alarm systems.
NOTE The applicant should continue to liaise with DEFA Fisheries Division in respect of working within 8m of a watercourse.
NOTE The applicant is encouraged to provide toilet facilities to serve the proposed facility. Whilst in the short term whilst the approval is on a temporary basis, it is anticipated that this may be provided on a temporary basis also however, should the facility become permanent, the Committee would expect there to be provided more visually acceptable and more permanent toilet facilities for staff and visitors to the facility.
NOTE No signage may be erected at the site, other than that which complies with the provisions of the Advertisements Regulations 2005, or any superseding legislation replacing them.

This decision was made by the Planning Committee in accordance with the authority delegated to it. This permission refers only to that required under the Town and Country Planning (Development Procedure) Order 2005. Any appeal against this decision must be in writing and must be received by this Department within 21 days of the date of this notice.

Please note that a copy of the Officer’s report which led to the decision, together with correspondence relative to the application, are available for inspection at the Department.
The proposed development must not be commenced until either;
Whichever is the later.
If no appeal is lodged within 21 days of the date of issue overleaf, and this decision becomes final, the Department’s public reference copy (counter copy) of the planning application may be collected by the applicant or their agent from Murray House.
Please note that if the counter copy of the application is not collected within THIRTY DAYS following the last date on which a planning appeal can be made it will be destroyed without further notice.
