Assessment
The application site is located within a Conservation Area. The proposal is to replace the existing windows with new timber sliding sash window or French doors. The windows/doors are similar in style to other examples within Derby Square. The proposal works would not adversely affect the character and appearance of the Conservation Area.
Recommendation
It is recommended that planning permission be granted subject to conditions.
Party Status
The local authority are, by virtue of the Town and Country Planning (Development Procedure) Order 2005, paragraph 6 (5) (c) and (d), considered "interested persons" and as such should be afforded party status.
